Business rates changes are going to dedicated the hospitality sector.

"Last month, the Chancellor claimed her tinkering with business rates would bring in ‘permanently lower tax rates for more than 750,000 retail, hospitality and leisure properties.’

If only that was the case! Instead, what’s becoming clear is that many businesses face far higher bills than before, with an average pub seeing an increase of 76% and hotels well over 100%.

The Chancellor had an opportunity to back our hospitality businesses at the Budget, but instead she slammed more taxes on a sector that has already shed over 100,000 jobs in just over a year."
